A quick example: it's all logic and trade-offs

Say you want to build a booking system. Boiled down, the trade-off could come down to a few variables: money, time, data security, and room to grow.

If your budget is tight, you need it fast, and what customers submit isn't sensitive — honestly, you don't need us yet. A Google Form will get you running today, for free.

But if what customers are submitting is sensitive — ID numbers, medical history, card details — security outweighs "cheap and fast." That data sits on someone else's cloud, and you can't control who has access or whether it meets compliance requirements. Even at low volume, that's a case for owning the system from day one.

For a plain name-and-phone booking, though — when should you come back to us? Once your bookings grow to a point where the Google Form can't keep up, and customers keep telling you "this is really inconvenient" — that's when a custom build actually pays for itself.

There's another case worth planning for early: if you can already see yourself needingLINE notifications, payments, or a loyalty program down the line, a Google Form hits a wall there and you end up rebuilding from scratch. A custom system leaves room to grow from day one — adding a new feature later is just "adding a module," not a rebuild.

And even a custom website doesn't have to mean a full backend database. If you'd rather not maintain one, we can wire the data straight into Excel instead, so you keep using a tool you already know.

That's what we mean by "discussion first, tech stack second" — every decision has a reason behind it, and we lay out the trade-offs with you instead of just handing you the most expensive quote.

First off, thanks for sticking around for a second example. This one's a bit more involved — say we're building an ERP inventory system. A large company's purchasing flow might have a requisition, a purchase order, and a goods receipt, with an approval checkpoint at every single step.

But a small company doesn't have the headcount to run a process that heavy. You also have to factor in human nature, time, and cost — a small team is already stretched thin, and forcing them to create a purchase order and wait for approval before it can even become a goods receipt just doesn't match reality.

So we build in auto-approval. The project still keeps the flexibility for a full approval workflow, but with a toggle: for a small company, a requisition can be set to auto-approve — save it, and it immediately generates the goods receipt, more or less apass-through (skips straight to approved).

Worth being clear about: "auto-approval" doesn't mean "no record." Every requisition and goods receipt still logs who created or changed it and when — you can always pull the audit trail. The only thing that changes is whether there's an extra manual checkpoint, not whether it's tracked.

The point of this example: when your team is small, nobody has time to get stuck babysitting requisition-to-receipt approvals all day, so we build in these small optimizations to match how things actually work.

Honestly, we're not ERP experts either. But after talking it through with the client, we go back to our own debate culture — the team thinks it through and argues it out internally, decides how to optimize and adjust based on what the client actually told us, and lands on something that genuinely fits what they need.
