HMD Biomedical is a Taiwanese medical device developer and manufacturer focused on blood glucose monitoring systems and related consumables. Its products are sold in more than 60 countries, and it also provides OBM/ODM manufacturing and technology transfer for international brands. In October 2026 HMD listed on the TPEx emerging stock board under ticker 6660.
Ahead of the listing, the website had to grow from a corporate brochure into an outward-facing channel fit for a listed company, serving three audiences at once: investors who need governance and financial disclosures, overseas B2B partners evaluating manufacturing capability, and regulators and customers who care about regulatory and quality systems.
So the work went beyond a visual redesign. The investor relations section, bilingual disclosure workflow and security auditing were built as systems, letting HMD staff publish announcements and reports themselves while the system keeps Chinese and English in sync.
Governance, shareholder meetings, financials, material announcements, investor conferences and shareholder services. PDFs are published straight from the admin panel.
Chinese and English fields for announcements, financial reports and IR notices sit on one form, and nothing publishes until both are filled in.
Blood glucose monitoring systems, test strips, diabetic supplies and foot wellness, with categories and specs maintained by the client.
Manufacturing capabilities, technology transfer track record and certifications including MDSAP, TFDA, ISO 13485, FDA and IVDR in one place for overseas partners.
Patents get their own page, turning R&D strength into concrete, searchable information rather than a slogan.
Company news, trade shows and product notices by category, including milestones such as the emerging board listing.
Profile, philosophy and milestones on separate pages so investors and customers can follow two decades of growth.
Every page, IR document, product, news item and SEO field is editable, with role-based permissions and an audit log.
The investor section follows the disclosure items of an emerging board company: governance, shareholder meetings, financials, material announcements, investor conferences and shareholder services. Each document type has its own data model (year, category, Chinese and English PDFs), the front end groups them by year automatically, and uploads go live without a redeploy.
A typical i18n setup stores and edits each language separately. For announcements, financial reports and IR notices we placed the Chinese and English fields side by side on one form, and the backend only accepts a publish once both are filled in, turning a process problem into a rule the system enforces.
Material announcements also link to the Market Observation Post System, and the stock quote links to TPEx. These links are configurable fields in the admin panel, so the client can update them when the URLs change.
The front end is built with Astro and rendered on the server, so product lines, patents and news are delivered as complete HTML that Google and AI search can read directly. Menus and carousels are Vue 3 islands loaded on demand.
A listed company website falls within the scope of security reviews. The site enforces HTTPS/HSTS behind Cloudflare WAF, the admin panel supports two-factor authentication and an IP allowlist, every content change and login is logged, and daily off-site backups back a disaster recovery plan.
The admin panel is built with Filament and covers IR documents, products and categories, patents, news, page content and SEO fields, with role-based permissions separating what IR staff, marketing and administrators can edit.
The biggest change is a new audience: investors and regulators. A corporate site only has to explain products and brand, but a listed company needs a fixed place to disclose governance documents, shareholder meeting materials, financial reports and material announcements, plus contacts for the spokesperson and share registrar. Because disclosures are time-sensitive, the point is not just having a page, but letting staff publish PDFs and announcements themselves from the admin panel without waiting on developers.
Most bilingual sites edit Chinese and English separately, so a common failure is updating the Chinese announcement and forgetting the English one. For a listed company that means foreign and domestic investors see different information, which is a disclosure risk. We put the Chinese and English fields for material announcements, financial reports and IR notices on the same form, and nothing can be published until both languages are filled in.
B2B buyers in medical devices care about regulatory and quality systems, not just product appearance. Beyond product lines and specifications, the site has to make certifications such as ISO 13485, MDSAP, FDA and IVDR, the patent portfolio and OBM/ODM capabilities easy to find, so overseas distributors and partners can tell at first contact whether the factory can meet their market requirements.
